Jotform, a New User's Perspective

(by our newly hired Director of Public Relations)

When I first applied to work at Jotform, I didn’t know what it was, let alone know how easy it was to use. Once I started the interview process, I figured it was time to browse the site and see what the fuss was about. I always thought that even the most basic form requires development expertise. This ranges from creating a form using HTML fields, developing fallback code for older browsers, to testing the form on a variety of desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

To my amazement, Jotform was what Aytekin its founder, said — “an easy to use form builder that covers any form functionality.” I was able to toggle between the pre-built templates and its do-it-yourself options. Jotform has a simple user-friendly experience that allowed me to build and edit forms with an easy WYSIWYG interface.

I created an account effortlessly, and began creating my first form. The site gave me an option of creating a blank form, using one of its ready-to-use templates or import a form that I’ve already created. I decided to use a template. I browsed them by industry or browse by form type. I chose a healthcare form since I was working in the healthcare industry at the time. Also, I wanted to see if my former employer could benefit by joining JotForm.

I was impressed to find nearly 8000 ready-to-use forms. Hovering over each template, it allowed me to read a description that made my job easier in selecting a form. Once selected, Jotform enabled me to customize the pre-built form to my liking. I entered my former employer’s name, deleted certain fields, and added new fields using the drag and drop tools and widgets — which there are over 400 widgets to choose from.

Creating a form that had my former hospital’s look and feel was truly amazing, but the best part was that there was no Jotform logo or branding on the form. When the hospital used the free version of other form building sites, it always came with its branding. That was not very appealing to me, or our board of directors. When our board saw the new forms I created, they immediately approved joining Jotform and began implementing its easy-to-use forms on its sites.

Jotform has been created to meet customer’s needs. As I was a customer before working here, I was extremely happy to know how customizable Jotform can be for each customer — whom range from e-commerce, education, event organization, healthcare, marketing, travel, and many industries. Jotform is an easy-to-use form builder that offers something for everyone.
