Displaying Google Reviews on your website is one of the most effective ways to build trust with potential customers. Instead of simply telling visitors that your business is great, you can showcase real feedback from real customers directly from your Google Business Profile.
With the Google Reviews widget, it’s simple to embed live, automatically updated reviews on your website even if you don’t have any technical or coding experience. Jotform makes it easy to customize the look and feel of your reviews, choose from different layouts, and seamlessly match the widget to your website’s design.
Before You Begin
Make sure your business already has an active Google Business Profile with at least one review.
Creating an embed code for your Google Reviews is pretty simple, so you can add it to your website right away. Here’s how to set it up:
- Go to the Google Reviews widget page and on the left side of the page, in the Source Search bar, enter your business name and click on it to select your Google Business Profile.
- Then, set up these things:
- Full Width — Toggle it on to expand the widget across the full width of your page, or toggle it off if you want to customize it manually.
- Layout Options — Select the layout that best fits how you want the reviews to appear on your page.
- Now, click on Continue.
- Next, customize these things:
- Dark Theme — Use the dark version of the widget layout.
- Title — Set the title that appears at the top of your widget.
- Navigation Arrows — Show arrows so users can navigate through the reviews.
- Pagination — Display pagination controls below the widget.
- Jotform Branding — Keep the Jotform branding visible in the widget.
- Then, click on Continue.
- Next, configure these things:
- Widget Header — Show a header above your widget.
- Header Title — Add a heading for your widget.
- Review Details — Check the details you want to display, such as Rating and Number of Reviews.
- CTA Button — Show a call-to-action button for user actions.
- Button Text — Enter your button text.
- Button Color — Select your preferred button color.
- Text Color — Select the text color.
- Then, scroll down to the bottom and continue to configure this thing:
- Review Fields — Choose the fields you want to display, such as Photo or Name.
- Now, click on Try it on your Website for Free.
- Finally, in the Embed window that opens, click on Copy Code and you’re done.
And that’s it! Your Google Reviews widget is now set up. You can now paste this code into your website where your reviews will display automatically and update in real time. Check out the screenshot below on how it’ll look in the example website built with a GoDaddy template:
You can also manage your widget anytime from the My Widgets page. For a full breakdown of how to do it, head over to our guide on How to Manage Website Widgets.
Note
- Make sure your website allows third-party scripts.
- If the widget doesn’t appear right away, clear your website cache.
