As an admin, keeping your boards organized is key to maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. The Admin Console allows you to manage board lifecycle actions, including moving boards to the trash and restoring them when needed. This guide walks you through how to safely remove and recover boards to maintain control over your organization’s content.
Note
Boards moved to the trash are not deleted immediately. However, if no action is taken within 30 days, they will be permanently deleted.
Moving Boards to Trash
Moving a board in your organization to the Trash from the Admin Console is easy. Let me show you how:
- In your organization’s Admin Console, on the left side of the page, click on Assets.
- Then, click on Boards to load all boards in your organization.
- Locate the board you’d like to move to trash and click on the Three dots icon next to it.
- In the menu, select Move to Trash.
- Then, in the pop-up window, click on Yes, Move to Trash to confirm.
You can also move a board to the trash by using the Move to Trash button that appears when you select a board from the list. Here’s how:
- On the Boards Assets page, select the Checkbox on the left side of the board.
- At the top of the list, click on the Move to Trash button.
- In the pop-up window, select Yes, Move to Trash.
Restoring Boards from the Trash
- On the Boards Assets page, on the right side of the Boards that was trashed, click on the Three dots icon.
- Select Restore from the menu.
- Finally, click on Yes, Restore in the pop-up window.
Another way to Restore a trashed Boards is to use the Restore button at the top of the list. Let me show you how:
- On the Boards Assets page, on the left side of the Boards, click on the Checkbox.
- Then, click on the Restore button above the list.
- In the pop-up window, select Yes, Restore.
Purging the Trashed Boards
If you want to permanently delete the boards, you can Purge them from the Admin Console. Let me show you how:
- On the Boards Assets page, next to the Boards that was trashed before, click on the Three dots icon.
- Then, select Purge from the menu.
- In the pop-up window that comes up, click on Yes, Purge.
Another way to purge a boards is to use the Purge button at the top of the list. Here’s what to do:
- On the Boards Assets page, on the left side of the Boards you want to purge, select the Checkbox.
- Then, at the top of the list, click on the Purge button.
- Finally, in the pop-up window, select Yes, Purge to confirm.
How to Move Boards to the Trash in Bulk
- On the Boards Assets page, click on the Checkboxes next to the Boards you’d like to Trash.
- Then, at the top of the list, click the Move to Trash button.
- Finally, select Yes, Move to Trash in the pop-up window.
How to Restore Boards in Bulk
- On the Boards Assets page, click on the Checkboxes next to the Boards that were trashed.
- Then, at the top of the list, select the Restore option.
- In the pop-up window, select Yes, Restore to confirm.
How to Purge Boards in Bulk
- On the Admin Console’s Boards Assets page, select the Checkboxes to the left of the Boards you want to permanently delete.
- Then, click on the Purge button above the list.
- Finally, in the pop-up window, click on Yes, Purge.
How to View Trashed Boards Using Filters
- On the Admin Console’s Boards Assets page, on the right side of the Search Bar, click on Filter.
- Then, click on the Status Dropdown menu.
- In the menu, select the In Trash option to view them.
