Len Tau, DMD, spent 23 years as a practicing dentist before becoming one of the most recognizable voices in dental practice marketing. In 2007, he bought the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Excellence and, out of necessity, taught himself how to market his dental practice. That curiosity about marketing eventually led him to build reputation marketing software, which he later sold to a larger organization.
Since retiring from clinical practice in 2022, Tau has channeled his experience into helping other dentists grow more profitable practices. His platform — which includes the Raving Patients podcast, a thriving Facebook community of dental professionals, and two published books — has made him a trusted voice in the dental industry.
The challenged
Creating a high-quality podcast involves managing a lot of moving pieces, from guest scheduling to pre-interview research to show prep and post-production work. Tau recognized that a major bottleneck was data collection: getting structured, usable information from each guest before recording.
Before formalizing his intake process with Jotform, gathering guest details was time-consuming and inconsistent. Tau needed a way to collect guest bios, episode topics, speaking topics, contact information, and audio equipment specs in one place before every episode.
The solution
Tau was introduced to Jotform by an assistant in 2018, and it quickly became part of his workflow. Today, his guest intake workflow looks like this:
- Guests book their episode using Acuity Scheduling.
- A follow-up email directs them to a Jotform guest intake form.
- A reminder email prompts any guests who haven’t yet completed the form.
- Completed responses feed directly into his episode prep process.
The form captures everything needed to run a great interview. With Jotform, Tau is able to collect the guest’s name, email, and contact information. But that’s not all.
The form captures
- Guest name, email, preferred phone number, and company
- A suggested episode title
- Five key talking points, plus additional questions for the host
- A topic description
- A full guest bio
- An audience offer or call to action
- Microphone and audio setup details
- A mailing address to send a thank-you gift to guests after recording
[Jotform] made my collection process so much easier than it was before.

As submissions come in, they feed into a custom GPT Tau built. The AI tool uses the structured input to generate sharper episode titles and more compelling interview questions. Jotform is the first step in that workflow.
“I have a link, I send them a link, and they fill it out,” he says. “It’s made my collection process so much easier than it was before.”
The results
After more than seven years using Jotform, Tau says it has become a non-negotiable part of how Raving Patients operates. He describes the time savings as significant — hours per episode that can now be spent improving content quality and growing his audience.
When asked what he’d tell dental professionals evaluating their form software options about Jotform, Tau keeps it simple:
“Ease of use. It’s a form builder, and that’s what I needed. I’ve never switched because it was so easy to do — and I’ve never had a reason to look elsewhere.”
For a practitioner-turned-podcaster who values efficiency above everything else, that’s the highest endorsement there is.
