How to Add Shipping Cost to Payment Forms

Last Update: May 7, 2017

With our shipping feature, you may now specify a cost for shipping each item or set a weight value for each item. Assuming that you have already added the product items to your form, you can navigate to the Shipping tab in the payment wizard.

1. Click the PAYMENT FIELD on your form then hit the WAND icon to open the wizard.

IMPORTANT: If you're not seeing the tabs shown above, this could mean two things:

  a. Either you are not SELLING PRODUCTS

  b. Or you're still on the payment setup section

Just finish the setup first, ensure your PAYMENT TYPE is set to SELL PRODUCTS, scroll all the way down to the bottom, then click the CONTINUE button.

2. Go to the SHIPPING tab.

3. Then toggle the ENABLE SHIPPING option to YES.

4. You'll see additional options after enabling the shipping option. Here you can choose two types of charge basis:

- Per Product Item

- Per Transaction (Flat Rate)

5. For Per Product Item, you have to specify the cost of shipping each item. Do note that if Additional Item is left empty, buyers will be charged a flat rate based on the First Item cost.

The Additional Item Cost is also applicable if you have setup a quantity option for your product.

6. For Per Transaction (Flat Rate), your buyers will be charged for the shipping cost you specify regardless of what item they choose or how many from your payment field.

NOTE: The Weight Value is only available for PayPal Integrations. Shipping Cost options will be automatically loaded for the other payment integration such as Stripe and Authorize.net.

7. For forms with PayPal Integration, you can specify a weight value for each product. These values will be used if you have a weight-based shipping method configured under your Paypal account.

You can also specify the Weight Unit, either pounds or kilograms.

That's it for adding shipping rates to your payment form. If you have any questions, feel free to add it as a comment below or head on to our support forum.

I have weight based shipping configured under my Paypal account and have done everything in your instructions but shipping fees are still not showing up when an order is placed. The issue is not from Paypal because my other Paypal orders are showing shipping fees. Please help. Thanks

Hi, is there a way to change the 'shipping' text to something else such as 'service fee' if we're using that module for something different? It seems that even if we change the text it is showing up as shipping on the Paypal receipt. Thank you
