Adding a Form to Adobe Muse

Last Update: May 3, 2017

Adobe Muse lets designers create HTML websites for desktop and mobile devices, without writing code. Hey, that's our line :) By using JotForm & Adobe Muse you'll be able to create the perfect website. Follow the steps below to learn adding forms to Adobe Muse.

Step 1: Get Your Form Code

1. Choose a form and click edit

2. Click on "Publish" and open the "Embed" tab.

3. Select the type of form publishing that you wish to have in your Adobe Muse page

In our example we'll use the default embed script. Below is a screenshot to help you further:

4. Copy the code provided.

Step 2: Insert the form in Adobe Muse

1. Open your Adobe Muse application

2. On the "Plan Mode" view of your application. You'll see a blank page. (you can create more pages by clicking the + button when hovering over the page).

3. Select the page you wish to insert your form by double clicking. This will open your page on the "Design Mode" view:

4.  On the page, right click and paste your code. A box will appear with the HTML text in it. This won't show your form yet.

The longer process of inserting forms:

4.1. On your menu bar (on the top-left), click "Object"

       4.2. Select "Insert HTML"

4.3. A pop-up will appear with the sample code.

This is "arbitrary HTML".  Paste your code there

       4.4. Click OK

This is also the part when you will need to adjust the width of the box for your form to fit.  Otherwise, it will get cut off. (Note: height automatically adjusts):

5. Once done, publish your Adobe Muse web page in 2 ways:

a.) Publish your form on your business catalyst website by clicking "Publish" on top, login to your account and follow the next steps

b.) Export as HTML

b1) Click File on your Adobe Muse Application > Export as HTML

Clicking view site will open the HTML page, if you have placed your form on a different page such as the example here that was named Form, it will create form html. Open it to view your form.

How did it work out for you? Tell us if you had any difficulties adding your forms to Adobe Muse.

I cannot get the silverbox code to work using Muse. I do Exactly the same as described here. However, I only get "contact" on the page. When I click it, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Can I add the form HTML to a new page with master page already applied or do I need to create a new blank master for the form? If that's the case, then I'd only be applying it to one new blank page. That sounds odd. Please clarify. Thanks!

I've embedded the form and published my site. Tried a few test submissions of my form and it worked great. I discovered I needed to make a form change. I then edited the form and for the life of me I can't get it to update on my site. I've removed it from Adobe Muse altogether. Saved and restarted Adobe Muse. Opened Adobe Muse again and reinserted the link to the updated form (which hasn't changed) but still Adobe Muse refuses to display the updated form. What's up with that. Is it possible that the form is in Adobe Muse cache somewhere?

how do you make a follow-up thank you page work with the form. When I have that feature selected in Jotform and publish in Muse, the feature stays on the same page and blocks out space instead of going to a new page.

I changed the font of the form to a google web font, but it just shows as Arial when I add the form to my site. It previews on jotform as the correct font. What am I missing?

When I publish my page I have a problem. The site loads at the bottom of the page where the contact form is, not at the top of the page. Do you have any suggestions why this may be happening?

I've added my form but no buttons work. I have form 'collapse buttons' and next 'page buttons' not doing anything.
I also can't insert the form into muse with a transparent background.
Pop Up window disables the button for the form all together.

I tried everything now to get my jotform in muse. Strange thing is that I see the form in Muse and also in the test page, however when it is uploaded to our FTP it has disapeared/it is not showing somehow. and on the blog page we tried to put the form in for testing.

When I add my form to a Muse website, it doesn't appear on mobile devices. What should I do? The error is: JavaScript exception: Error calling selector function:TypeError: Cannot read property 'style' of null.
