Feature Request: Date field without future dates

I really need this too. I don't want clients to be able to pick a date in the future. This messes up my orders as future dates can not be ordered.

I forwarded this feature request to our developers so they can evaluate its future implementation.

I'm sorry but I tried it and it does have future dates.

 

I apologize, you are right. It doesn't go further than 2014, but in fact accepts future dates inside this year. 
In this case it is really necessary to wait for the developers' feedback or to try the workaround suggested in this thread with some conditions displaying error messages or hiding navigation button if a future date is inserted.

You can set a "Year to". Unfortunately, it is not possible to limit the month and day fields. 

 

You can also use Carina's suggestion and use conditions to prevent people from selecting future dates
