validate a field based on previous submissions

we have a resource booking form that includes the resources and the desired date for booking.

The date field is a normal "date" with a simple "Today+7".

If a customer submits a form requesting a specific date, is there a way to automatically "block" it in the form?

Basically what we are looking for is that if a customer books a resourse for "X" date, that date won't be available in the form any more.

At the moment it is not possible to reserve date using the normal date picker control.

You can however use the date reservation widget, as this is in line with your needs

The drawback is that you wont be able to specify a date in the future, like in the normal date field.
