    I've read many of the forum posts re: PayPal and am still unsure why the pay using a debit / credit card without having to sign into PayPal is a jotform issue.  My payments preferences is set to optional but I'm not getting the option to pay without having to sign into or create a paypal account.

    Any possibility that some kind person can answer this question one more time.

    If you just want to accept credit/debit cards without having the user to redirect to Paypal ,  I would suggest you to use Paypal Pro instead of the standard Paypal.

    However, in order to do that,  you will need a PayPal Website Payments Pro account

    The other suggestion would be to try Autorize.net  , but again , to be able to receive payments, you will need a Authorize.net merchant account. Learn more about Authorize.net on New Merchant Tour.

    Dear Jeanette,

    I'm having the same problem... My registrants are confused because sometimes they see the "old" PP checkout that has spot for credit card info... then other times they see "pay with a guest account"

    Do you have any new info on this problem?

    @webminister

    Paypal Optional on checkout is not available in all countries, if you have an international account please check with Paypal whether this option is supported in your account.

    Cookies are used upon checkout which can be set in the browser settings, it is important that users have this  enabled otherwise they will always be asked to enter their usernames and password everytime they get to Paypal page. If the browser cache and cookies have been cleared then they will be asked to enter their Paypal information again.

    Let us know if you have further questions.

    Cheers!
