    Form submissions: Form sending duplicate submission when the PayPal payment field with one product and hidden

    Hi

    I have been working for over a year with JotForm and I really like it.

    However, for some time, this JotForm sends 2 confirmation e-mail each time a person a registers:

    Please advise on how to solve that issue.

    I have tried submitting your JotForm once and see that it has sent two submissions. I have cloned your JotForm to my account and able to replicate the same issue with the cloned form as well. I notice that there is a Payment field on your form which is set to zero. I have tried removing this payment field and it has sent only one submission on my next test submission. 

    Did you make any changes to the payment field on your form? If you need to collect the payments through this form, please check the payment field on your form by accessing the payment wizard.

    Hi Kiran
    I had this zero payment field because the form originally had a registration fee of $40. I changed the form later to waiting list mode and wanted to remove the payment field, but I got a warning saying that the associated data with that field will disappear so that us shy I changed it to $0.
    Anyway, after your message, I did temove the field and ended up losing the data of that field in the form's Google Spreadsheet :)
    I personally believe that duplicating the responses because of a $0 pay.ent is a bug at your side.

    I have reverted your form to the earlier version so that you can see now see the payment field and associated data normally. Upon further investigation, I found that the issue is being caused by the hidden payment field.

    So, I have enabled the option to Show the payment field on the form. However, as a workaround the payment field is hidden by adding a condition as shown below:

    Your form should be receiving only one submission now. Please check and let us know if you experience any issue with the form.

    I am also forwarding the issue to our backend team to investigate the issue further. Once we have any information in this regard, you'll be posted so that you may disable/remove the condition on your form and hide the payment field normally.
