Asked by tashes on May 23, 2012 at 06:41 AM

Is it possible to allow users to edit their forms after submission Only for certain time after submission. and then either let the edit link expire. or even use an admistrator option to lock certain submission manually to stop the anyuser with the edit link from any further modifications?

    Hi,

To allow users to edit the form after submission, you can use the {edit_link} tag within the Auto Responder Email. First you need to create an Auto Responder then add the {edit_link} variable in the email's body.

Once a user submits the form they will receive an email which contains a  url link to the pre filled form. If they click on the url link in the email this would open up the form with pre filled data and they can modify/update their answers.

Hope this helps let us know if you have clarifications.

I have already done that. But what I am asking about, is that ability to let the user edit his subission only for a certain period of time after submission (ex. one 1day on one week), after which the submssion will be locked and the link edit link would either expire or allow on view but not edit.

if no automatic configuration is available to acheive the above, is it possible to manually lock certain submission , to stop the user with the edit link from any further modifications?

Not really , but you could download a excel export of the submissions on a specific date and time and use that as your base set of submissions instead of the possibly changing submissions on JotForm.
