    Hi!

Anyone with ideas on how to automatically open a road barrier with a jotfrom submission?

This would be usefull for us to ensure that access to certain areas by truck is only possible when the truck driver has filled in and submitted a form.

What are the current methods that are used to open the road barrier? Do you want to open the barrier on the spot right after the driver filled and submitted the form? The only possible way that I could think to do this is to open it by the form email. If the system used by the barrier can be triggered by email, I'm sure you could do this with Jotform.

If by email, the next thing you need to do is to add an additional protection the form to prevent unprotected entry. You could do this by conditional logic like only show the rest of the fields when a box is filled with ABC and XYZ. Or, you could do an approval still by conditional logic.

Another protection for the form is to undergo verification, either by SMS or Email. You can use the following widget/apps:

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/sms_confirmation

    https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/e-mail_validator

    https://apps.jotform.com/app/submission_verifier

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have questions.
