How can I use my PayPal Pro account (or another payment option) to collect credit card numbers on my form to process the transaction at a later date?  I know that we cannot ask for the user's CC number in a plain text field as it violates the TOS, but I am not clear how to use authorize feature to get the number securely.  Thanks.

    Hi,

The 3rd party payment integrations collect the payment details securely, I am not sure if they divulge complete credit card information to merchant accounts. You can contact PayPal support team to verify that.

What JotForm basically does is that the form is integrated to the payment processors default gateway through API, meaning we do not store the credit card/payment details in our servers, instead it is processed directly and securely in the payment gateway.

We do have the option "Payment Authorization" that you can enable, here's a guide about it: https://www.jotform.com/help/292-How-to-Enable-Payment-Authorization. What it does is it allows you to charge your users manually after they place an order, it is useful if you want to review your customers order.

    I hope that helps.
