You said in point 7, "Set up the other options. Some of the options, such as the texts, are relatively straightforward"... can you please explain how this is done as there is no way to connect other fields to the spreadsheet?

    Hi Mirror Cool,

Thanks for contacting Jotform Support. Regarding point 7 on the referenced guide, we were referring to these four sections on the widget settings:

These are basically the text that will be shown on the button and other warning/information messages shown on the widget, which you can customize. You are not connecting any fields here, but just manually entering text as you want to show on the form/widget.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for your response but that is not where the issue is. How do you connect other fields (such as item description, weight, price) on my form to the same spreadsheet, so that when I type the code in, it populates these other fields (item description, weight, price)?

    Hi EugeneWynyard,

This thread caught my attention and wanted to help you out with this query.

In order to add items like widgets etc. Go to add form

On that tab you can add products . And if you're looking into integrating your spreadsheet, go to How to Use the Spreadsheet to Form Widget for more information about it.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Mirror Cool,

Thanks for reaching back to us. The Spreadsheet to form widget only support the following field type:

    • Full Name
    • Email
    • Time
    • Short Text
    • Long Text
    • Dropdown
    • Single Choice
    • Multiple Choice
    • Scale Rating
    • Star Rating

If you use these field for description, weight and price then it should work. You simply need to make sure that the field labels and spreadsheet column names match. Below id the example of the Spreadsheet with the column name. So this column name should match the field label in your form. Then, you need to provide the values in the spreadsheet.

Utilizing a Spreadsheet to Form widget in Jotform involves a few steps:

    1. Add the Widget: Go to your form builder, search for the "Spreadsheet to Form" widget, and add it to your form.
    2. Configuration: Configure the widget by pasting the Google Sheets URL or CSV file link that contains your spreadsheet data. Ensure the sharing settings allow access to the sheet.
    3. Mapping Fields: Map the spreadsheet columns to your form fields. Define how the data from the spreadsheet will populate the form fields.
    4. Customization: Customize the appearance and settings of the widget to suit your form's requirements. Adjust layout options, styling, or any additional settings available within the widget.
    5. Testing: After configuration, test the widget to ensure that it populates the form fields correctly based on the spreadsheet data.

Similar to a Micro Bully's training routine, careful configuration and mapping within the Spreadsheet to Form widget can streamline data input processes in your JotForm.
