Date Reservation widget is not added to the form when using Form Builder V4

Asked by gethair on January 13, 2017 at 03:56 AM

    Hi,

I tried to build a form with date reservation widget and the field is not loading once the form is published.

Then I tried to use standart datepicker. This has do not allow weekend option but users can still chose weekends.

    Could some please please help?

Please try adding the Date Reservation widget to your form again, it looks like the widget's wizard did not run successfully the first time you've tried adding it.

I have checked this on my end, on a cloned version of your form, and adding of the Date Reservation widget seems to be working fine:

This is how the form displays after adding the widget on the cloned form:

Please do simply try adding this widget to your form again, and it should work fine.

When ti comes to disabling weekends on a standard DateTime field, you can do that from the Limits tab of DateTime field's configuration:

Make sure that Satirday and Sunday are not selected on the Limits tab of the DateTime field, and click on Save Changes. After that, your standard DateTime field will no longer allow for the weekends to be selected.

Please let us know how it goes.

    Hi,

The widget does not load with the new builder. I build 2 new forms (1 with old and the other with the new builder) The new builder did not load the widget

Thank you for adding the clarification, I was able to replicate the issue when using our V4 Form Builder.

I would add the widget as usual:

The widget appears as if it is correctly added inside the Form Builder:

However, upon saving and opening the form in another tab, the widget does not load:

I have also tested with other widgets, and the widgets I have tested with are working fine - the issues seems specific to Date Reservation widget.

Let me raise this issue to our developers as a bug report, and we'll update you here as soon as the issue is resolved. Until then, I would recommend using our v3 Form Builder for setting up this particular widget.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

Could you also let developers know that once a date is selected on the calendar another user can not select these dates again.

I assume this is not intended behavior.

That is actually the behavior of the date reservation widget.

The widget allows you to display a calendar on your form which your users can select dates that correspond with the purpose of the form. If prior form users have selected a date or a range of dates, they will be grayed out - they cannot be selected.

Ok thank you for the answer. I wasn't expecting this since my bookings are hourly based which I achieve using an additional field.

I still believe it is not the best implemantionation since you need to delete submission if you want to free up the date.
