    2) When I was editing the form I noticed SMTP and Verified under Email type - can I check these are essentially the same thing - i.e. Verified is not something we could do instead of SMTP - is it masking the email?

Hi, thank you for contacting us.

Please note that verified and SMTP are not the same methods. The verified method is similar to using noreply@jotform.com as a sender, in that both would send from our services, although with the verified method the sender address will be your email, not ours.

The SMTP method, on the other hand, takes our servers completely out of the equation, as emails would be sent directly from the SMTP address. This is why it is what we recommend when our customers face issues with our own services.

I hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance please let us know. We'll be happy to help.
