Form Builder 4: Several fields in the form are missing after switching to v4, then back to v3. I have just scrolled through my form in builder view and there are huge chunks of it missing!
We apologize for the issue that you are currently experiencing. Can you please specify several fields that were there before but are now missing on the form?
May I ask at what date and time did you switch to v4? The Revision History feature keeps track of the previous versions of the form. Perhaps you can revert to a previous date before you made the switch to v4?

range of changes since.
It is literally huge chunks of my form that are just 'gone'.
Whole sections, if you need me to give you every field I will, but it will
be a VERY long list!

I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you.
We do not need the complete list but please share the at least few of the starting form field names which seems to be deleted. The best option will be to review your form's revision history and let us know in which previous version you are seeing those field and we will take a look.

I’ve just tried to do as you have asked, and even my revision history seems to be buggy.
I can only see two version dates in the left panel, one for yesterday and the other for 5 days ago, all of my previous history seems to have vanished.
Also, when the revision history screen appears, those dates appear in the left panel, but I can’t actually visualise the form itself…so I can’t go through and check as you have asked.
As a result, I have done a cursory review of the current form from builder to give you some indication of the missing content…
There appears to be two primary sections that have been deleted.
At the conclusion of Page 3 (after the 4th health concern section), almost all of Page 4 has been deleted. The only remaining fields from Page four are the hidden section that used to conditionally appear under ‘sleep’ self rating…
…so this Page 4 was titled “Stress survey & Health Self-ratings”. It had a slider widget, it had multiple button radio widgets, it had multiple ‘Optional’ checkboxes which conditionally revealed extra fields. The stress survey section had three big areas for selecting potential stresses – one for Physical, one for Chemical, one for Mental-Emotional. Some of the ‘topics’ of the labels in the self-ratings section included things like sleep, food, physical movement
Most of the rest of the form seems to be intact.
The final issue is that my last page seems to be missing as well.
This had a final button checkbox widget, a couple of other questions, a facebook like widget, a electronic signature widget and of course a submission button and ‘mobile-responsive’ widget.
AND...I imagine why so many conditions are not working is that perhaps they have been deleted too?? Who knows?
AND...many fields, widgets and headings on the form continue to alter my punctuation marks & ' " to their weird underlying code, and this remains visible in preview too...

With regards to the missing fields, I checked the form and I can confirm that the fields you have listed are now missing. I have forwarded this information to our developers so they can investigate the underlying issue further. We'll let you know on this thread as soon as we have any news.
This is an unusally long delay - usually you guys respond incredibly quickly!
Unfortunately we still don't have any updates on this issue. I have contacted the developers to see if they have any news. For now we will have to wait for their response. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Hello. It's now 10 or so days since your last response.
Can you clarify anything further now that v4 has been released? Do the developers have a bit of time to focus on a customer need yet?
Do your developers have the capacity to fix their stuff up yet? I would really like to complete and start using my form...but with no revision history and deletions after the last 'fix' they applied I can't really proceed.

We understand your frustration and we apologize for the issue that you are experiencing. Please let me inform you that the developers are working on multiple tickets, so we cannot provide an accurate time-frame for when a reported issue will be fixed. This ticket is prioritized as very important so rest assured we are working towards resolving this as soon as we can.
I have been informed by our developers that the issue with the Form Revision History has been fixed. You can now revert your form back to the previous version before you encountered the issue. You will need to use the revision feature from the v4 builder. To do so, please follow the steps below:
1. First, make a minor change to the form such as changing autoresponder recipient or adding a new field.
2. On the Build tab, you will see a message that all changes have been saved. Click on the revision icon seen on the screenshot below.
3. Then from the Revision History, select the version that you want to revert to.
Please let us know if you are still experiencing any issues.
Chriistian, this is not really the response I was after.
This thread, and another related to it, was about your developers fixing the stuff up that came from your system bumping me up to V4 (when all I thought I was being asked to do was trial a new form in V4).
Somewhere along the line a big chunk of my form and a big chunk of my conditions have been deleted or rendered non-functioning.
I have followed your instructions above, but it only shows me 4 versions now, not my full history with this form.
It shows a profound number of changes in at least 2 of these 4 dates, and I don't trust that if I revert, I won't lose even more work.
I have previously said that using the revert tool is not what I want to do, because numerous changes had been made before I realised that your system had inadvertantly destroyed big chunks of my form and its function. I will lose all of these changes if I do revert.
I have provided detail earlier in this thread about specifically what has been deleted.
I want your developers to fix their mistake.
Can this be accomodated please?

There has been a huge amount of changes made on the form since it was created, even before the switch to v4. So the revision history only displays the 4 dates. I understand that you are hesitant to use the Form Revision history, as you cannot be sure as to what will happen when the form is reverted. However, the best way to recover the deleted fields would be to use the Form Revision history.
Nevertheless, I'll contact our developers again to see if the fields can be recovered without the use of revision history. However, I cannot make any promises that there are other alternatives from the revision history feature.

We apologize for trouble that caused to you. Unfortunately your form had a glitch. And only way to access your old data is revision history tool.
I am REALLY DISAPPOINTED at this response. Your system f**cked up and I have to deal with the consequences. This is NOT GOOD. God knows how many hours work I'm going to have to redo.
There has also not been an answer to the other thread about the conditions that are not working...does the same response apply? Do I have to go in and re-do all of my conditions too?
If the above is the best that you can do, is there a way that I can perhaps duplicate the form so I still have a copy as it now is, and then use the revision history tool on one version to go back and see if my form rights itself - so that I have something to compare it to, and see all of the changes I have made (assuming I then have to re-do all of these changes if the reversion works?)
Is it just a matter of duplicating my form and using the revision tool on the duplicate? Or on the original?
When you revert your form to a previous version using the form revision tool, this should also restore all the conditions that were there during that version. You do not need to redo all the conditions on your form. You will only need to setup the condition that was added after that version of the form.
You can indeed clone the form so you have a copy of the current state of your form. However, please note that only the original form will have the revision history. The cloned form will not have any revision history. So what you can do is to clone the form, then use the form revision feature on the Original form.

I finally have some time to try to fix this royal f@#k up, but I'm struggling to figure out which of the four edits in revision history to revert to.
I have duplicated the form in its current state so I have a comparison.
I have gone into the revision history tool in V4 - earlier on this thread I was advised I would have to use V4 revision history tool and not V3 (not sure if this is still correct?).
It shows four options after the 'glitch' in your system deleted the rest of my history.
The options offered are: Feb 10 (2 changes) Jan 26 (1 changes) Jan 25 (9 changes) Jan 20 (189 changes).
However when you open up each of these options' collapsible menus it shows a great many more changes (certainly for the first 3) than the headings suggest.
I can't figure out in this new version how to actually select one of the previous options and then be able to view my whole form to see which one still has all the missing fields and conditions that your system managed to DELETE! The revision preview screen is useless, as it only shows the first page, and my form is pretty damn long. I cannot see the sections I need to from this preview pane to establish the right version.
It seems that I can open each collapsible menu, but the highlight remains on the 'current version' - the first option in the revision history list.
Then if I try to use the 'Preview Form' it seems to only allow me to preview (again) this green higlighted first option.
How can I actually go back to each of the four options and then be able to reveiw my whole form - or at least progress through to about Page 4 to see if the deleted fields/pages are back?
When I decide which of the four available versions I want, how do I actually do the revert? - there is no obvious button I can see and no updated information I could easily find in your support forum for how to do this - only reference to the process in V3 (updated with how to access the revision tool in V4).
Once again - highly dissappointed with this process. (As a show of goodwill for this f**k up it would be nice if you offered me 6 mths free of a paid plan!
Here is how to revert your form from the revision history in Version 4, please see the instructions and the screencast below:
1. Click the Revision icon.
2. In the right pane, select the version you want to revert. You can also preview the state of form beside of it.
3. Click Revert to revert the changes.
The revision preview screen is useless, as it only shows the first page, and my form is pretty damn long. I cannot see the sections I need to from this preview pane to establish the right version.
I checked the revision history of your form and I was able to view all the pages by navigating through the form (by filling out the required fields and clicking the next button).
In this way, you can preview your form up to the last page to see the right revision of your form.
