Dreamweaver Publish codes throw an error when form is embedded

Asked by dannydawson on January 25, 2017 at 09:47 AM

    Hello

I wonder if you could help.

The 'show/hide condition’ isn’t working on my form, on the Payment/PayPal fields. When you select ‘I’m paying by PayPal’ the paypal info should appear, but it doesn’t, it doesn't show at all. I have looked at the condition and it seems OK. There is a syntax error when I paste the code into Dreamweaver, which is related to the visibility, show/hide function. This function worked last year.

    Any ideas?

    Many thanks

    Danny

You seem to have deleted the conditional logic based on the revision history. You are referring to this form https://www.jotform.com/61162675847969, right?

You can revert to this version or simply re-create it.

To revert, follow the steps here: https://www.jotform.com/help/294-How-to-View-Form-Revision-History.

    To re-create: https://www.jotform.com/help/316-How-to-Show-or-Hide-Fields-Base-on-User-s-Answer.

    Hello
The latest form has the condition. The link you gave me to view my form does work. However, my form uploaded does not work. Please see this link. I dont understand why this is not working.

    Hello
It seems the Javascript that controls the condition is at fault. When copying the code to use in Dreamweaver, there is an error.
The link you gave me was working, so I copied just the coding for the javascript controlling the condition, and replaced it into my Dreamweaver coding, and this has worked.
So the conclusion is, when integrating the form to be put into Dreamweaver, the code being copied is wrong some how.
    Hope you can fix this.
    Thanks
    Danny

    To be clear -
To publish the form I go to, Publish > Platforms > Dreamweaver, and I copy the coding.
The Javascript for JotForm.setConditions has an error in it.
So I copied the coding from the preview version (which is working). And this then works in Dreamweaver.

Glad to know you figured it out. On regards of the code designed for Dreamweaver(Publish > Platforms > Dreamweave), could you share a screenshot of the error it was given you?

Hello Danny, thanks for that. What my colleague was hoping to get from you was a screenshot of the error you mentioned.

The Javascript for JotForm.setConditions has an error in it.

Although you managed to find a solution to the problem, we would appreciate it if you could share the error with us so we can figure out what went wrong.

Thanks Danny, that would suffice as I'm able to see the same error on the browser console when I checked your website.

I've escalated this to our Devs and although I won't be able to give you any timeframe, we'll keep you apprised on this same thread if/when there's an update.
