Widget: Google Tag Manager

Hi, I am needing to setup JotForm submissions for my client's website http://www.theenclaves.mx/. I am wanting to track these form submissions specifically via event tracking in Google Tag Manager. However, since the JotForm is embedded in my client's website as an iframe, the Google Tag Manager code has not interaction with it and therefore I can't set up event tracking. I am hoping you can provide solutions to make this work. Please call me at your earliest convenience, as we are starting an advertising campaign tomorrow and need this to be working so we can track ROI of our advertising spend. Thank you so much.

You can try adding the Google Analytics widget in your form: https://widgets.jotform.com/widget/google_analytics

Hi, thank you for your speedy response. I need to install Google Tag Manager, not Google Analytics. Do you have a widget for Google Tag Manager? I did not see one listed. Thanks!

Also, we do want to install the Google Analytics Widget you mentioned. We already have a Google Analytics account setup for the main website. Would you suggest we use this same account or create a new one? Ideally we can see everything in the same GTM account but also want to data to be clean.

As far as I know, we do not have the Google Tag Manager widget available for JotForm based forms at the moment. You might consider using embedded form source code on your web page, so that the form will be available to the Google Tag Manager as a part of the page.

How to get the Full Source Code of your Form

We do not have any requirements for Google Analytic accounts, so you should use the one which is more convenient for you.

One more question: I am following the instructions in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ9bJbN7JSg and am stuck on the part about the additional code that needs to be inserted in the form in the ‘additional code’ field in the website backend. The code indicated in this video is: on_sent_ok: “dataLayer.push({‘event’: ‘Form Submitted”});”
However, this code is relevant to the Wordpress Contact Form 7, not to JotForm. Can you please tell me what code works for JotForm? Is there is a space I can have the webmaster insert this code within the full JotForm source code? He is using Joomla.

Is it possible to insert event tracking code into the JotFrom Source code data layer? I think the GTM event tracking will work if it’s possible for the webmaster to insert this code into the data layer:
    Button 1
Or, if there is other code that would be better, please let me know. In my case, I have titled the event Form Submitted. Thanks!!!!

This is not possible. But I have forwarded a request on your behalf to have a widget for the Google Tag Manager. If this is implemented, you will be notified via this thread.

Let's get GTM or a widget for it approved/implemented ASAP. This is critical to digital marketing. What's the ETA?
