Can I set only one field of my form such as "Title pf Paper" Field as UNIQUE for "loose check" to prevent dual submission?

Asked by geomat on June 07, 2012 at 05:36 AM

I would like to accept two or more papers of different "Paper Title" but like to prevent same "Title of Paper" Can I set this field "Title of Paper" only at Unique Submission (loose check). So that it will verify whether the same "Title of Paper" or not. If it is different title but same email and IP, then we accept the submission. On the other hand if the Title is same then it will send a message to the sendter that this Title or paper has already been submitted.

Unfortunately this kind of setup is not possible within the JotForm editor, the Strict check only applies to the IP address and not certain form fields. Furthermore access to the database is limited dynamically checking the records is not allowed. However as an alternative solution you can save the information in your own database and use your own custom script to check for duplicate titles in the form submissions.

To save the information submitted via the form in your own database you can make use of the Send Post data feature.

    Hope this information helps.
