    EU Forms Session URL: Redirects to page 1 when next button is clicked the first time, it reloads and changes the domain URL to eu.jotform.com

    Asked by MBWHS on February 02, 2017 at 05:55 PM

    Hi

    when the question 'are you a refugee' is clicked as no on the second page it flicks the responder back to the first page.  I have tried deleting the field and re-entering it but it is still doing it.  Could you take a look please?

    thanks

    I test your form https://form.jotform.co/70026739679871 but I could not produce the glitch you described.

    I checked the field and there was no condition rules attached to it that can trigger redirection to 1st page base on the selected option for that field/question.

    It is possible a different field have the condition rule that actually triggers the skip back to 1st page. You can review the Conditions you have setup on the form.

    Let us know if issue persist.

    Hi
    I know i couldn't replicate it either, however several people who have been testing the forms have individually reported the same problem. It only happens once and then the second time you do it ...it works fine. I'm not sure what to do.
    regards
    Katie

    Hi

    I have now identified that the error happens the first time when someone goes from the first page to the second.  It usually occurs around the time that the 'are you a refugee' Q is asked, hence we thought it was related to the question. However if you don't complete this Q but just wait it automatically links you straight back to the first page.

    I believe it might be linked to the first form that we are using to then allow the rest of the main forms data to be saved as the user progresses through the form.  The initial form is

    Please can you use the above link and see if you can replicate the problem and let us know how we can solve it?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    I was able to replicate the problem, the issue is that when you click the next page on your 2nd form, the form navigates to page 1 because the URL changes to https://eu.jotform.com

    Example:

    This session URL: https://form.jotform.co/70026739679871?session={email}&urNumber634={urNumber3}&email={email}

    Becomes this when you click the first next page button:

    https://eu.jotform.com/70026739679871?session={email}&urNumber634={urNumber3}&email={email}

    Here's a screencast as a demo:

    This is an issue specific to users who are in Europe region and is using the Session URL feature, in your case, I see you are in Australia? But you have enabled "Europe Datacenter" option in your JotForm account. To learn more about that option, you can check this blog post: https://www.jotform.com/blog/178-EU-Safe-Forms-Our-Solution-to-the-EU-Safe-Harbor-Invalidation

    I'll forward this to our back-end team to have it checked and fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience.
