Can I filter my data while exporting to excel?

    Hi,

We are a school with three different locations. Our current setup is one jotform account per location who each publishes an application form. The problem that we want to solve is to prevent applicants to submit applications to all three locations individually, and instead have one application form shared by the three accounts (sub-accounts?)

This is pretty straight forward. However, we have run into trouble when trying to setup the reports so that each locations can easily see only applicants who have applied to that location as a first choice.

We have tried the filter/question in the visual report, but that is too complicated. Can you do the same thing with the excel report?

Can you create an excel report filtered on a certain option in the application form, so that only responses with a particular answer are shown?

    Thanks in advance,

    Andreas

I'm not sure if I understand your request on filtered reports. If you have tried the Visual Reports filter and it seems that it is complicated to use, can you please give us more details on what you are trying to achieve on your reports?

Here's a guide on How to Use Visual Report Filters.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

    Hello,

Unfortunately, our excel export options doe not allow this kinf of filtering. However, you can use excel tools to filter you data according to your needs. As my colleague stated, you can filter your data in visual reports.

Here is how you can use excel for filtering data: http://www.gcflearnfree.org/excel2016/filtering-data/1/

I hope this answer helps. Please don't hesitate to contact us for your further queries.

    All the best!
