Form not populating custom amount for payment

Under the Benefactor option - the user should be able to type in any amount (over $1K) but when you type in a dollar amount it does not populate in the Total. Please give me help or demo form or code?????????

I have checked your form and see that you have added a new product as Free and so it is not displaying any amount. Please change the amount of this product to $1 in the payment wizard so that it will be multiplied by the quantity entered and displays the correct amount.
