Uploaded images are not displayed in submission emails anymore

Asked by piapete on February 10, 2017 at 07:41 PM

For the last few weeks, the uploading of images and them appearing in emails has stopped working completely and no change was made. Could you please advise if this is a known problem and how to rectify.

    Hello piapete,

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. Do you mean to say that if users upload image in form, it is not being displayed in the submission email?

With which form you are having this issue with? I did check your last edited form and found that "IMG" is not added in field name in email alert template. Please check the screenshot below:

Please note that for your images to be displayed in submission email, you need to add "IMG" before the field name in email alert. I did test this in one of my own form and it seems to work as expected. Please check the screenshot below:

I would suggest you to please add "IMG" in the field name as shown in my screenshot above and that should solve your problem.

Do get back to us if the issue persists.

    Thank you!

This seems to be a solution for only some of the forms.  The vast majority of forms don’t require IMG:

How do I know which ones do/do not require IMG: to function properly

You're right. It used to display before on email notification without using the IMG tag. This seems to have stopped working when I made a test on my form. Instead of images, only links are shown.

I have now forwarded this to our developers for further investigation. We'll let you know here once this is fixed.

Is there any workaround? For the forms that have multiple images, I cannot get all images to show - whether via link or attachment (even when using IMG:), which basically makes all our forms fairly useless as they rely on the images being able to be uploaded.

Further to the above, it doesn't seem IMG: is even consistent. Sometimes the photos are uploaded and other times not at all.

I'm afraid that the only workaround at this time is to use the IMG tag, as instructed by our colleague earlier, and if this is not working to your satisfaction you will have to rely on the plain links for now.

Our developers are looking into this issue, and we will update you through this supported thread when/if it is resolved. Thank you.

At this stage the links aren't working either. Is there anything in particular I should be doing to show the links to the images in emails
