    Support,

How can I use a date field that uses integer data - like a PHP date?  In the current setup, there is no way to consistenly sort submissions by the date the user inputs.

The current input of the date is awesome - It would be so much better if we had an option to store it in integer format so that it removes inconcsistencies in the date input and allow us to sort it by that field.

It would be great if it stored the date like the "Sumbission Date" column.

Thanks for your help - love your product!

    Hello

We appreciate your kinds words about our product.  We don't render date fields like PHP does . However,  if you download the excel file of your submissions, you can sort them in the way you wish.

Let us know if you still need further assistance

Thanks for the workaround it does work in excel if we force it to interpret text as numbers.
However, it would also be a great addition to have the option to force all dates to be the same format. Some have leading zeros, but if the user enters the date manually without the leading zero, then it is not stored. Just a small thought for future improvements
Thanks for your help and for giving us a way to centralize all of our form data.

    Hello again Mr. Merriott

I thought you were talking about sorting the submission date jotform generates into the submission report (that you can download as stated above) .

However, when it comes to to dates  in a form, you can prevent users to do what you mention , by adding into your form a tool called  Birthdate Picker (under Quick Tools menu)

At any rate, I think your suggestion for the calendar can be added to our feature request list.

    Best regards

    Jeanette
