    Where are my Kloudless Files?

    We used the Kloudless widget for multiple file upload. On the submission form, it shows the link to the files, but the links are not valid. I get the error message: {"error":"The requested file was not found","error_code":"file_not_found"}

    Where can I access the uploaded files?

    This question has been asked before but marked private.

    It seems like those files were deleted already, since files uploaded via the "Computer" option will automatically be deleted after 30 days. Let us know if you need more help.

    Apologies for this inconvenience. Kloudless is required to pay hosting costs for files stored, so only stores them temporarily. The open-source widget can be configured with your own Kloudless App ID and S3 bucket by your engineering team to store files however long you prefer. Please contact us (support at kloudless dot com) if you'd prefer we create this configuration for you. You'll need to sign up for your own developer account on Kloudless's website.

    Thank you for the answer. This is deeply inconvenient as this is not at all clear for the widget description. We urgently need these files. Please let us know how they can be recovered. I also strongly suggest to make this condition very clear in the widget description - or not support a widget that simply deletes client data. We could have used dropbox or any other one if we would have known that our files will get lost.

    @fablabnet - We completely agree, which is why a disclaimer has been added to the Kloudless Widget Description now.

    Recovering the data on the other hand is something we can't do as much as we would like to help. I would recommend you either get in touch with Kloudless directly by using the email mentioned on the widget description (linked above), or go to this page https://kloudless.com/help/ and submit a ticket, send an email or have a livechat with them.
