I have had a change of position, and no longer need jotform as much. If I downgrade to the free service will I lose my current forms/submissions?

You will retain your forms and submissions as long as you remain under the Free account limits.  The only thing I could see being an issue it you file storage.  Free accounts can stored up to 100MB of files and between all your forms your account is at 344MB.

Deleting submissions would clear up space.  The following thread has some great information on how to back up your data and delete submissions:

Very welcome.  If you delete any forms, make sure to purge them from the trash after deleting or they will still take up space.  Submissions are removed immediately once deleted, forms or placed in the trash.
