I run a window blinds business. I am looking to sell my blinds on line.

I want to produce a form that when the customer enters the width and drop of the blind, a pre determined price is produced. A third field may be required, ie. width; drop and thickness of blind slat.

    How you can help

    Hello Andy,

You can make use of the form calculation widget to run calculations for dimensions, thickness, etc for your blinds. You can check out this guide for more information on the details on matters on form calculations for your form: https://www.jotform.com/help/chapter-9-Form+Calculations

And here are guides that explain details about making use of form calculations widget:

    Hello,

Perhaps you can give us a formula and we'll give a sample on how it should print results.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I am asking your advise on how to do it or if it can me done with a jotform.

I have price lists on excel, in tables with the width on the horizontal axis and the blind drop on the vertical axis. What I need to know is how can these prices be picked up when a customer puts width and drop into boxes on the form.

You can set this up by using conditions in JotForm and/or using Calculation widget. Condition setup can be found in Form Builder form in Settings > Conditions tab. In your case, we will be using the Update/Calculate Field condition.

Here is a sample form that I have created: https://form.jotform.com/70653620412952. In my sample form, I have set the following conditions:

For more information about conditions, you can check this article: Smart Forms Using Conditional Logic. On the sample form, when I input 5 in Width (cm) and 5 in Drop (cm) the price displayed is $50.

And when I input 10 in Width (cm) and 5 in Drop (cm) the price displayed is $100.

You can also clone the sample form that I have created to have a closer look on the setup. To clone form, just follow the instructions provided How to Clone an Existing Form from a URL.
