Why is my form having difficulties to load in my Mac?

    Hi,

For some reason the same form that I am currently designing behaves differently in my PC and my Mac.

In the Mac it takes a while to load and to apply the changes when filling up the form.

In my PC there's not problem at all.

In my Mac I wasn't even able to send this message, due to the fact that I couldn't tic the CAPTCHA.

I really don't know what's the issue since when at the very beginning I didn't have this problem.

    Would appreciate your comments.

    Best,

    Juan

    Hello Juan,

What you're experiencing is a strange behavior indeed. It would be great if you can tell us the browser type you're using between two devices, the version number of the browser, the version of your Mac OS, and if you are using different ISPs.

These things can help us filter to how or why you are experiencing something different between those two.

We'll look forward to your response.

Hi, Thanks for the prompt response.

I am using macOS Sierra version 10.12.3

    Safari browser 10.0.3

Yes, I am switching form internet service providers since I am quite mobile.

Just worked on my PC for about 3 hours and everything went well.

I just switched to the Mac and now the online form is very slow.

    Hope this is something identifiable.

    Thanks and best,

    Juan

I just tried in another Samsung laptop and the form just freezes when applying a discount.

This is quite strange. Would appreciate any info.

Thanks for the details. As I am not able to replicate the issue, I'd like to check with you a possible method that might fix this:

Can you first try clearing your browser's cache and try again to load the page? After clearing your browser's cache, the 1st loading of the page may take a while since it will be downloading new information over the web. Please check the next subsequent loading of the browser by refreshing the page to see if the problem persists.

    Thanks.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have already tried that and the problem persists.

This is quite odd since when I first started designing the form I wasn't experiencing the problem. Now is constant, except on my PC laptop.

I'm attaching a screenshot of the actual website while it is opening. As you can see it takes a while to load completely. The NEXT button is not appearing until about a 30 to 40 seconds later.

Once in the next page, I am unable to choose from the first dropdown menu.

Even when I selected it using the tab button, the required restrictions keeps showing.

    Hello Juan,

Thanks for the details. We have noticed that your form has a huge list of conditions in it. Loading these conditions can be a handful for the browser to process and this can definitely affect loading of the form on a browser. I would suggest to evaluate your conditions and try reducing its number in order to optimize your form.

If you have questions, please let us know.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

I cloned the form and deleted all the conditions.

The loading is still very slow in the new form with 0 conditions.

    Any suggestions?

Also, If I have three tabs open in my browser with the builder, and both forms (the one with lots of conditions and the one with 0) as soon as i refresh one page, all pages go blank

I added Chrome in my Mac and it seems to work fine.

Perhaps your new builder has some conflict with Safari?

The issue is caused by 'Clear Hidden Field Values' parameter set to 'Clear On Being Hidden'. If you change that option to default 'Clear on Submit' it should help. Browsers handle javascript differently, this is why it works better in Chrome.

We can submit a ticket about this issue to our developers, but this is not likely that this is something that can be addressed quickly.
