Displaying image on form by passing source through url variable

Asked by joelrendall on June 23, 2012 at 09:40 AM

I have been experimenting with making my forms dynamic, by passing text variables using the embed code. Example:

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//form.jotformeu.com/jsform/21743454995363?brochurename=chocolate2&previewimg=http://media.photobucket.com/image/sdf+/o0toesocks0o/Retro%20Picks/sdf.jpg"></script>

Is it possible to take that "previewimg" variable I'm defining, and make it display that image the visitor on the form?

To give some context, I am making an order form that allows customers to send me images and content to include on their brochures I design. Instead of making a different form for each brochure template I'm offering, it would be nice if I can show them a preview image by defining it this way.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here is the guide on -Prepopulating-the-fields-to-your-JotForm-via-URL-parameters . But I don't think you can do such method to preview an image in the form.

Will it be OK to use the image field to add image of your brochure template in the form where the customers can readily see it? I can see the form have the upload field and other contextual details already.
