Is it possible to create a ticket purchase form that will have different ticket availability per day?Asked by Liz on March 15, 2017 at 05:36 PM
Hi Jot Forms -
I really like your system and think I might use it for my next project. Before I start, I'm curious if your forms have the extra capabilities I need. (Please note, I understand I would need to pay for an upgraded account for this if I go with you guys.)
My special needs: Max Allotments per day per Item
I would be selling bus tickets with my form. I offer 4 options per day 365 days a year. I want to know if I can put a limit on each of these 4 options per day. (In more detail: Bus ticket option A can only be picked 50 times each day. After all the allotted spaces are full, that option is no longer visible on that particular day.)
In my mind I would have my form include a calendar the user would click to indicate the day they want to purchase the ticket. Next they would choose from a drop down one of the 4 options I offer. If an option is sold out/limit reached it wouldn't be visible or in some form displayed as "sold out."
Is this too particular or is this something I can do with jotforms?
I believe this would be possible but it may require a lot of work to create.
We have what we call the Quantity Gift Registry widget that can help you when it comes to making sure that only the available tickets are shown and can be purchased.
Then, a date field where respondents can select the date of purchase.
I have created a sample form below. In the form, you will select the date of purchase initially then available tickets for that date will appear after. For now (testing purposes), available dates are from March 16 to 19 only. (past dates are really disabled on the date field)

This workaround, however, will require you to have 365 Quantity Gift Registry widgets in your form to cover the entire year, which would not be ideal. You may try to make a form for each month to lessen the required number of Quantity Gift Registry widget for each form.
