    Hi,

I experience troubles with the translation and the calendars.
As my first language is french, i wanted to display calendars (choice of days) in french.
After reading your post about the problem of translation with the calendars, i activated the translation, setting the first language on english, and the second language on french.

It worked fine, in the calendar.
But all the others translations are not working as french and english are mixed up in the translation page.

So I chose French as first language, and english as translation and everything works fine… but not the calendars…

English shows days in french in the calendar

And French shows days in English…

Have you ever meet such troubles ?

Am I doing something wrong ?

Please have a look at the screenshots join to this mail.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

I checked your form and how the Date field translates. The problem is that your default language of the form is Frech. But when you included the Date field, that field didn't translate automatically. So you have a Frech form with English date field included and since you can not edit the default language, that field remains English.

One way of sorting this out is to create your form in English initially then when you turn on Translation for French all your field will be mostly translated automatically (date field as well) and when you switch between them it will work.

Bottom line, you created all those fields in French, but you didn't create Date field, that field you just put in the form, but it can not recognize in which language the form is set initially so it remains in default language.

    Hope I was clear enough.

If you have any further questions please let us know.

    Thank you!

    Hi Nik_C;

    Thanks for your quick answer.

    I understand what you mean.
I should first write the whole form in English then go for the translation in French.

    I'll do that.

    Thank you.
