This method doesn't actual generates a plain text email. first the platform just adds html tags, and the eventual email delivered reorganizing the content into a table format. I am attempting to integration submission with a third party platform that requires delivery of email in plain text. Can you confirm that this is not possible?

While editing your email notification, you can remove all HTML from the source code section:
Once all formatting is removed, you can add your text to the body of the email.

Hi David. The problem I encounter is where the html formatting is reinserted. In order to complete the email integration with my third party recipient, i need a plain text email (with multiple rows).
Image 1 show the plain text format I need to send. When I OK the code, the display automatically inserts <p> tags converting back to html, removing all rows (Image 2). If i attempt to created the rows in the display ui, it inserts <br> tags.
This suggests to me that the text is never actually 'plain text', just html text without tags. Once you close the source code window, the platform just reformats to rich text. Am I missing something?

Please don't place your content within the Source Code section. Instead, type it in the actual email body after deleting the entire source code.

All formatting should be removed when setting up the email as stated above. The email client displays the email slightly different from the JotForm email editor but the formatting has been removed. The URL in the contents is being inserted after the fact.

So hard to make it work.
I followed precisely the step-by-step and the email arrives as html.

The link from Christian no longer works. Can someone confirm that it is possible, in your new fancy schmancy interface, to create plain text notifications? Used to be able to just click a button to enter plain text mode. Ahhh, the good old days... smh

The previous thread that was split off was just confirming that it was indeed working on their end. We checked the users form and none of the tags were present. The steps described in this thread are still valid for creating a plain text email.

I need a plain text email in order to have my system import and create a record. I am experiencing the same issue in that I do what is instructed. Then send the test email and am told it has rich text formatting. I open the email inside jotform and there's the formatting.
Note: I am typing the message in the actual email body after deleting the entire source code.
No matter what I do I can't get rid of the formatting and keep it gone.
