I have an order menu and the entire order shows up under one column in excel. I need the data to be sortable after I download it to filter how many of each item is ordered. Thank you.

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to display products in separate column of excel report. Please note that the product selection, order total and payment information are displayed together in one single column in submission page & excel file.
I am creating a feature request ticket and forwarding it to our backend team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update form them.
For now, I would suggest you to manually add some formula in downloaded excel to separate the desired data into another column.
