    Hi there,

We are trying to prepopulate a text field with a URL parameter, and followed the instructions on this article: https://www.jotform.com/help/71-Prepopulating-Fields-to-Your-JotForm-via-URL-Parameters

Here is the link we built, but it does not populate the field: https://form.jotform.us/51937039939166?q144_patientId=001j000000oIsI0

We can't figure out what we're doing wrong.  Any help would be much appreciated. By the way, we have hidden the field for now, but tried it both hidden and visible, but it doesn't work either way.

    THANK You

We would be more than happy to help you with populating your form via url parameters.

Are you trying to populate this information from another form? Or just in general?

Here's an example of how this should actually be:

    https://form.jotformpro.com/71066016914957?fullName3[first]=John&fullName3[last]=Brown&iAm=Right Handed&dateOf[month]=04&dateOf[day]=17&dateOf[year]=1986&socialSecurity=111223333&patientId=001j000000oIsI0

Our users will get to this form via a link.

Part of that link will be their unique customer ID that we want to pass as a URL parameter.

I see in your example that you’ve included other fields (name, social security, etc.), but the only field that we want to populate via the URL parameter is the patientID.

But again, it does not seem to pass when we build a URL with that parameter defined.

    Hello,

As far as I see, your pre-population link is not correct. You need to omit the "q144_" part from the link. So, it should be like the following: https://form.jotform.us/51937039939166?patientId=001j000000oIsI0

I have cloned your form on my side in order to test it and I have seen that you have set the Patient ID field hidden. I have set it visible in order to test and I am able to prepopulate it as you can see the screenshot below:

Please try and if you need further assistance, let us know.

    Thank you.
