Placing a divider after content submitted via Text Mode submit

    Jotform to CRM issue.

    The issue is that although I am sending the info to the correct E-mail address, the format is not correct. When sending info in plain text, they have to include a "divider" so the system knows where to start pulling the data. We use a colon : as the divider for our plain text leads. Currently they are sending it as:

    Question Answer

    Full Name {fullName1}

    Address {address4}

    Preferred Method of Contact {preferredMethod}

    Phone Number {phoneNumber5}

    E-mail {email11}

    I expect to buy a new or

    pre-owned vehicle in: {iExpect26}

    Comments {comments}

    {24}

    Please let us know which brand(s) you're considering I agree that:

    Notice that there is no divider after Name, Address, Email, or Phone Number. This is where the problem lies. In order for a lead to be considered parsable, the full name and either an email address or phone number where the customer can be contacted have to be parsable. In this case, the system cannot pick up the first name, because the first "Divider" is not found until the "Street Address Line 2" section. Essentially what the parser is picking up is that line along with the City, State, Zip, and country, since these are the only ones with the colon. Since the rest of the information is not parsed the system doesn't recognize a first and last name along with a contact method (phone number or email) the lead is not parsed through. To ensure that these leads are parsed going forward, make sure they send them line by line with only one space after it.

    Maybe I am overlooking the obvious, but do you think a : after those dynamic fields will work?

    Adding a delimiter between the {field tags} should probably work. My advice is to use a different delimiter since the address field already uses a colon to separate its lines.

    What type of delimiter will work? A colon or what specifically do you advise?

    Thanks!

    How about a bar "|" ? Try to test it yourself then let me know if it helps or not.

    They're suggesting a colon, let me try that and see if their CRM responds properly.

    Thanks!

    @ajlst21

    Hopefully, I'm understanding what you're trying to achieve but please format the content of Notification 2 as follows and let us know if it helps:

    First Name: {fullName1:first}
    Last Name: {fullName1:last}
    {address4}
    Preferred Method of Contact: {preferredMethod}
    Phone Number: {phoneNumber5}
    E-mail: {email11}
    I expect to buy a new or pre-owned vehicle in: {iExpect26}
    Comments: {comments}

    Oops! I believe a space needs to be placed at the end of each line before testing my solution.

    I'll have to test this, unsure. Difficult to implement via text, which you guys allowed for XML export. Thanks!

    If that does not work, let us know. We can try to investigate it further.

    You may also provide us with the CRM name.

    Thank you for cooperation.
