I am temporarily using the account for Elizabeth Spicer (Username: Espicerdta), and I am having trouble accessing the submitted documents we have in our account. She has given me her Jotform Keys, I have uploaded it to the account, but I am still not able to view the documents. Can you please assist?

Hi,
Can you please advise what is the error you're getting? I'm assuming you're referring to the encryption keys, unfortunately we don't have any access to the encrypted data so we can't help you much if you have the wrong key or something, but please do let us know what's the error you're getting so we can assist you further.
Thank you!

ESpicerdtaReplied on May 22, 2017 at 3:44 PMHello!
There is no error but when the option comes up to search for my key, I
browse for it find it, select the X in the top right corner, but it is not
allowing me to view the information. Also, when I am trying to view larger
forms, Jotforms always says "Jotform Not Responding." Not sure why this
is.

I found only one form on your account. And it is not using encryption and doesn't have existing submission data at this time either.
Can you please confirm if this is the form you're having the encryption issue?

Could you please do a quick test using a Google Chrome browser? Does it make any difference in Google Chrome?

I know it's a long shot, but did you check with the form owner if he didn't create another encryption key?
Also, if it is possible, you could share the form to us and we can take a look, you can send the key to support@jotform.com. Just please put in the subject the thread number which is: 1151345.
You can let us know through this thread when you do.
Thank you!

Just so I am understanding, you want me to sent the keys, plus a form that
we cannot open which is encrypted?

We have received your email with the 'thread # 1151345' subject.
I have checked your 'Cancellation/ Missed Appointment Policy' and 'Nurse Care Benefits Application' forms using both 'jotform.key' and 'jotform (1).key' keys. I am afraid that mentioned forms are associated with a different key. There is no way to decrypt the data without a correct private key.
If your colleague is able to see decrypted data it means that a correct private key is internally stored in her browser local storage. It might be possible to get the key from her browser.
The encryption is an advanced feature. I would like to suggest checking the next articles to find out more information about that option.

ESpicerdtaReplied on May 24, 2017 at 10:43 AMHello Mike!
The keys I sent you are specific to me and will not open anything related
to Nurse Care. The keys I sent you will only open the forms which were
created for us through amedoff's account. I'm trying to share my keys so
another colleague can have access to view our forms while I am out of the
office. Is there a way to reset my keys, but from what I read that might
not be an option.
How could we try to obtain my keys from my browser local storage?

Unfortunately, creating of new keys will work only for submissions from now one.
It will not work for the old ones. For old submissions, you need the encryption key, and without it, I'm afraid that there is no much we could do.
I'm not sure you could do that from the Browser's storage. You should try looking in the default download folder in your computer (on the computer where the key was created) usually it is the Downloads folder. Also, from what I understood you received the key from the account owner right? if you used email or some other transfer method, maybe the key would be there. Just a thought.
Let us know if you managed to find the correct one.
Thank you!
