    Stripe payment tool: Subscription with trial period is not working properly

    Hi,

    I have built a form with a subscription that has a trial period of 30 days. However, when I test it, the charge is done immediatly, it is not doing a trial period. Why?

    Hello mariarus,

    I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you. 

    I did check your form and found that you have configured your Payment tool correctly for 30 days trial period. I cloned your form and integrated it with my Stripe account and I am unable ot replicate the issue you are having. I was not charged and the first invoice is of 0 value. Please check the screenshot below:

     

    Can you please test your form again and get back to us if the issue persists? I would also suggest you to please share a screenshot of the customer dashboard where you are charged for first payment as well.     Hello mariarus,

    I am not sure if I have understood your issue correctly. Do you mean to say that you are unable to see the transactions in your Stripe account?  Are you sure that you are looking into correct stripe account?

    Can you please check you account and see if you are viewing test data? Please check the screenshot below:

    Hi Maria, 

    Please note that your screenshots did not come through, in order to attach photos, please click on the image icon in the text editor in the forum, and then browse and upload the photo. 

     

    I have checked your form and I can see that you have the trial period setup correctly, please see image below:


    But I can also see that the payment is in sandbox (testing) mode, which could explain why you're not seeing the payment in your account. 

     

    If I have misunderstood your question, please accept my apologies, but kindly explain your question in a further detail so we can investigate.

    Ok, what I would like is to create a subscription with the first payment done 30 after the form is filled by the client. However, rigth now, the charge is done immediatly

    Hello,

    I have checked the current configurations of the form and I have seen that you did not set a trial period as seen below:

    Please set 30 days there and save it.

    I have also cloned your form and set 30 days to the trial period. I have seen that it has been reflected Stripe Dashboard as you can see the screenshot below:

    Please test and tell us if the issue still persists.

    When have you changed it? Because as a solution, I did charge pending for later. Please do not change the form.

    Hello mariarus,

    What my colleague meant is that she cloned your form and changed it in cloned version of her form. No changes were made to your live form.

    Do you want us to clone your form, make changes with 30 days trial subscription and send it to you for testing? 

    Please check the following cloned form where I made the changes and was tested as well:  https://form.jotformpro.com/71482916454967

    Please clone this form and test it after connect it with your own Stripe account. Do get back to us if the issue persists.
