SalesForce Integration: Ability to check integration errors

If for whatever reason, the SalesForce integration stops working (mostly because it's impossible to authenticate), neither the person using the form nor the form creator is advised. The forms can be used many times and the data isn't recorded in SalesForce, and no one knows that anything is wrong.

Are there any error handling functions that a form creator can use to get immediate feedback so that the problem doesn't go unnoticed?

    Regards,

    Ketzie

    Dear Ketzie,

We're sorry for the inconvenience you have.

As far as I checked, you have mentioned about your form named "Membership Test without Stripe" as you have Salesforce integration in it.

I have cloned your form on my side in order to test Salesforce integration. I have established the integration successfully without receiving any authentication error.

I have submitted the form and I have seen my test submissions in the Salesforce account as seen below:

All in all, I couldn't encounter any issue with the Salesforce integration.

Could you please remove the integration and establish again? Please check your Salesforce credentials also because it should be authenticated.

Please let us know if the issue still persists.

    Thanks.

Thank you for looking into this.

    Let me clarify the problem.

If I change my password in SalesForce, which is sometimes necessary, and I have not deleted and recreated the SalesForce integration in my form, my data is not written to SalesForce, because it cannot authenticate, but there is no error message sent either to the person filling out the form or the form creator.

Is there any Jotform error handling function that I can add to my form to ensure that I know there is a problem?

    Regards,

    Ketzie

As far as I know, we do not have a system which will inform user about errors on SalesForce integrated form.

I have escalated a feature request ticket to see if this is something that can be implemented at some point.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide any ETA for when it can be implemented, but we will let you know if we have any updates.
