How to have "hide" condition override previous "show" condition

I have a situation where I want a certain group of questions to show only if there's a second person registering in the form. However, I have some conditional questions inside that section that should be hidden. It seems as though the first "show" condition is superceding all the other conditions. I'm including a screen shot of one of the conditions that is not working. 

Can you tell me how to configure things so that all the shows and hides will work as intended?

It seems that show conditions will always overrule hide conditions. 

You will need to update your conditions and set them a bit differently. Please test my demo form with updated conditions and see if it is working properly.
