    Hello Johngeffel,

When you enabled "Encryption" in your form and clicked "Create encryption key for me", jotform.key file must have been downloaded in your system. If you are using the same system where the file was download, most likely the file must be there in your system downloads folder.

You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you:  https://www.jotform.com/help/344-Encrypted-Forms-and-How-to-Use-Them Please look for section "What if we can not find the private key after downloading the same?".

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

I searched through all my files and couldn’t find a file by this name.

Also, I selected “I will provide a public key”, not "create encryption keys for me”. I did this because Jotforms displayed a message in red text that said I already had a “public key”.

If you lost the key, and you have receive encrypted submissions, please turn off the encryption feature. The already encrypted data is lost forever, as there is no way for us to decrypt it.
