    Thanks agin for all your help.

    I'm now writing in regards to the loose or strict submission error message that come up once someone has been tagged with their IP or a cookie when voting. Is there anyway to customize the message "

    Sorry! Only one entry is allowed.
    Multiple submissions are disabled for this form."
    More specifically, I need to translate this to spanish.

    The form warning messages can be modified by using this guide  How-to-Change-Translate-Form Warnings

    However, the warning messages linked to strict submissions were not included.

    Perhaps if the Jotform account language is changed to Spanish, the warning messages would also be translated to Spanish.

    Please inform us if further assistance is needed.

    Tried changing the language select on my main account but that dosen't work. Also the link to the "custom warnings" isn't what I was after. I'm aware of those but there dosen't seem to be an option for the strict submissions error page when trying to submit duplicate entries. Here's a screen shot of the error after trying to submit twice without clearing my cache:

    Yes, as previously mentioned, the message for strict submission was not included in the form customize error messages.

    Unfortunately, as you had found already, there is no option to customize or translate the strict submission notice/message to another language(Spanish)

    What you can probably do is include some annotations on the form itself using the Free Text(HML) field explaining(in Spanish) the 'strictness' of the form.

    Hope this help.

    In the customization area, is there a way to limit the number of times they can vote (once a day, twice, etc)?

    Unfortunately, no, you cannot limit the number of times they can submit the form in a day.

    However, it does sound like a useful feature to have, so I am forwarding your idea to our feature wishlist.

    We can't guarantee whether it will be implemented though. It will be subject to our development team's approval.

    OK, so last question. Is there a way to download your code and edit the cookie functions to collect the IP address information but then give me the ability to serve up a custom page if they have already been tagged. All of this woul dof course be hosted on my server.

    To reiterate, I want to give people the chance to vote once a day and then have that cookie expire in 24hours. But if they try to vote more than once in the same day, I serve them up the error / limit page.

    There seems to be a hint of this here: http://www.jotform.com/help/140-Using-cookies-to-automatically-open-a-lightbox-form-once-per-browser-session

    and here:

    Thanks again for all your help!

    Yes pinsol, you can use the form source code. Please see this guide How-to-Download-a-Source-Code-of-your-Form .

    Actually, it does not have to be the full source code... you can use the source code embed and inject some cookie script function within the form that can expire within 24hrs.

    You can use client-side only javascript function to expire the cookie.

    Some code like this for the cookie I think will work..

    if (document.cookie.indexOf("visited") >= 0) {

      // They've been here before.

      alert("hello again");

    else {

      // set a new cookie

      expiry = new Date();

      expiry.setTime(date.getTime()+(10*60*1000)); // Ten minutes

      // Date()'s toGMTSting() method will format the date correctly for a cookie

      document.cookie = "visited=yes; expires=" + expiry.toGMTString();

      alert("this is your first time");

    Please inform us if you need further assistance.

    I did search the full source code -- but I could not find the code that I can alter for the alert messages "Sorry" and "strict". =) . So, I think this is something not doable as this time. Maybe this code are situated at the back-end code.

    But a request ticket for feature to customize "warning" messages was already submitted. We can wait for update on that.

    Thanks you for considering our service and Jotform. Feel free to update us anytime.
