    How can I set the column width on a Check Box?

    Asked by Correne on August 02, 2012 at 03:20 PM

    I have a series of checkboxes for an option on my form. I have them in 3 columns. However the columns are not wide enough for some of the options so I want to make the columns wider. How do I do that? I can't seem to find that option anywhere. Please advise.

    Hi;

    You can reduce the spacing by adding custom CSS to your form. Check the following  illustrations for you to follow.

    1) Open your form to edit.
    2) From the toolbar click on "Setup & Embed" then select "Preferences"

    preferences

    Enter the following CSS rule in the "Inject Custom CSS" section on the "Form Styles" tab to accomplish what you want

     .form-checkbox-item {   width:120px !important; }

    Thanks for the reply, but that sets the width for the entire form. I have a section of my form that is a series of check boxes in three columns - what I'm trying to do is make just those three columns in that section wider - any clues?

    I think I figured it out – but here is the link to my form:

    For the last section where the checkboxes are in three columns, I managed to figure out the correct code to set it.
    However it threw off some of the upper sections – but I can live with that.

    Is there a way to set the width by section?

    What I’d really like now is for these questions, and their check boxes, to appear on the same line:
    What Type Of File Should Be Created?
    When Should The File Be Created?
    Should the file include field headers?
    What delimiter?

    Well, now the top looks good, but the bottom section with the three columns of check boxes is off. Is there a way to them both the way I want it?

    I have this question as well. I added the code and the columns are still jumbled up.
