Can I do a partial submission on a form?

Asked by Fahad on August 14, 2012 at 11:29 AM

    Hi,

    Great tools you have here,
I need to create a long form, which will require the user to spend some time filling it. I want to divide the form into pages, which is easy to do with your Page Break tool, but I want to have the form send the information to the databse that has been completed so far when the user goes to the next page. Is there a way to do that?

    Thanks,

    Fahad

There is no way to do that unfortunately. Responses are saved only after pressing submit.

SurveyMonkey can do this. Each page when you click next it does partial submit.

    Hello Graeme.

If I understand your requirement correctly, please note that you can save the partially completed form for later by following this guide:

How to Save Forms to Continue Later

The partially completed form will be saved after clicking on the "Next" button of each page.

Please let us know if this works to your satisfaction. (I am not a member of the JotForm staff, but I will be glad to help you out if I can.)

    Kind regards.

    Hello Graeme

Indeed it is possible to use the feature "Save forms to continue later" as mentioned by the user bokid.

But if you have specific requirements please let us know more details and we'll be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
