I need to have my form work in multiple languages. It seems that most of the languages work, but Russian and Portuguese will not save no matter what I do. I tried different browsers and made a clone of the form. I deleted those language options and added them back. Nothing will make them save. I've tried translating one field, and unfortunately, the whole form more than once.
The form is complex and integrated with Zapier and Salesforce, so it isn't something that I want to rebuild from scratch only to have the same problem again, and I want to avoid to multiple versions because it will be too cumbersome to update.
This is the live form:
This is the clone:
This form is linked on a website, it is not embedded, but that shouldn't make a difference in this case.
Please let me know what you can do. This one has become urgent for us.

I reviewed your cloned form and I noted that both Portuguese and Russian language have untranslated entries on them.
So there is no translations for those 2 language.
I test the language tool using a cloned form but I could not replicate the same issue. I was able to save the translations for Portuguese and Russian language.
What I suggest you try also is to temporarily disable Continue Forms Later while still designing your form. You can just enable it again later after completing all the changes and making your form live.
Let us know if this did not resolve the issue.

It did not resolve the issue. I did a test with the first page of my form and that worked fine. Then I went back and translated all of the other fields. I tested in both preview and the real link and it worked, but the changes from the first page were gone. When I went back to update the first page, all of my changes were gone. I disabled Continue Forms Later before doing any of this. That was the third time I updated somewhere around 80 fields on that form only to have the changes disappear.
One thing that I find very awkward is the lack of Save buttons. I don't like the fact that everything saves in the background immediately. When you are working with a complex form, sometimes you do something or add something that you didn't mean to and throw the formatting completely off. I would rather be able to confirm saving any changes.
JotForm is becoming very frustrating to use.

I did replicate a potential root cause, but I don't think that this was it in my case. I added Russian translations to some fields. Then I opened a new JotForm tab, went to Edit and over to the Russian translation. Everything was gone. When I previewed in the original tab that still showed my changes everything was gone as well.

Please do not do these. As much as possible do not open multiple instance of the Form Builder on separate windows or tab in your browser. Because the Form Builder auto save from time to time, the saved version of your form will overwrite each other.
I still could not reproduce the issue you are having.
How about if you try first removing all the other language on the cloned form and retain only Portuguese and Russian?
It is weird that other language were saved but those 2 did not. I don't think there is a limit on how many language can be used in the translation tool.
We will wait for your updated result.

I cloned the form and deleted all languages, then added Russian back. I added the translation to one field, went back using the navigation, then back to edit Russian and my entry was gone. I did it 4 or 5 times, sometimes giving it a minute to auto-save and other times completing more than one field. Still not working.
I only had one tab of JotForm open. I did that yesterday to see if maybe I kept the original open that was blank and it was overwriting.

I have cloned your JotForm and tried adding some translated Russian text to the fields. I notice that the translated text is not being saved for some fields and randomly on the cloned version of your JotForm. Let me run few tests on this and get back to you with relevant information. I'll get back to you once I have any news in this regard.
Thank you for your patience.

Sorry for the delay. Though I was able to replicate the issue earlier with the cloned version, I have tried testing the translation on a separate form which worked well. Also, I have tried copying the fields from the cloned from to a separate form and then tried adding translating some field. This test was also successful and was able to save the translated fields without any issue.
I have now tried translated again on the cloned version of the form which seems to be working fine at my end. It looks the issue was temporary and fixed now. Could you try adding the translated text to some of the fields and see if that works on your form.
Please get back to us if the issue still persists. We will be happy to take a look again.

Yes. You are right. The issue is not fixed. I think it was displaying the translated text when I close the form and re-open it due to the caches. However, as I tried to logout from my JotForm account and re-login, I see that the translated text is missing. I am forwarding the issue to our backend team for further investigation. Once we have any information in this regard, you'll be posted here.

Is there a way that I can embed Google Translate in the form, or if the form is embedded in our website, would it be possible to use the Good Translate tool that we already have there?

The Language tool actually have this option already. Go to SETTINGS and set to ON the Detect Language option.
This option will use the google translate plugin.
