Is there a way to link two fields to make sure they are entered exactly the same?

I have an e-mail field on my form and a Confirm e_mail field.  I would like the form to notify the user if those two fields are not entered the same.

Good question. It would certainly be a handy feature. That sort of thing is commonly used to confirm passwords too. It sounds like something that can be done with conditional branching but let me do some experimentation with a dummy test form and get back to you.

    Test failed

The dummy form included three fields: Two E-mail fields from the Quick Tools menu and one Free Text (HTML) field plus a Submit button as shown

I tried using the conditional wizard's default option (Show / Hide a form field) to accomplish the goal and got stuck at the text box as indicated. Incidentally, I got {email5} from the Compose Email table: Email Alerts > Notification > Compose Email

The live form loaded with all fields displayed and regardless of what values were entered into the E-mail and Confirm E-mail text boxes, all of the fields remained visible.

I think this "link fields" type of conditional should be requested as a Jotform feature because I've seen it widely used.

Unfortunately, this is currently not possible. We do not have a condition or validation type that allows you to compare two fields.
