Erratic Function Of Hover Exposed - Please see demo here

Asked by markashton on January 24, 2011 at 06:51 AM

    Hi,

Hover is going to be a truly great function.

However, currently it serves to frustrate and waste time for the user due to a varying display of features that makes no sense at the user level.

Please see this hover evaluation as a guide to the range of behaviour displayed:

If I could propose that the user could select both mouse-over and on-click for any field type - this would be great. Mean't most respectfully: currently, it's a shambles

Many thanks. Hope this is a help

    Regards Mark

    Hi Mark,

I've included mouseover for all fields it now works as expected. However, in my opinion it just makes it harder to use. Description boxes pops up constantly and distracts users from filling the form it can let to frustration for some users. This fix solves current issues but we should find another way to make it easier.

    Thanks

    Hi Serkan,

That was quick. I agree that pop-up could become annoying.

Did you see my comment above:

"If I could propose that the user could select both mouse-over and on-click for any field type - this would be great".

This would give form designers more flexibility and control over the pop-up function
