Can I re-use a Form URL for upgraded versions of the form

I am in the process of revising and upgrading three forms that are used extensively in our business.  I have cloned and renamed each one in order to make the upgrades.

When I get finished, I will be faced with the task of changing lcon/URL links on about 40-50 i-Phones that are used by field personnel to enter data into these forms.  It is a somewhat terrifying challenge.

It would be so much easier if I could simply swap the new form for the old form such that everyone could continue to use the same icon/URL links that they are used to.

I know it's probably not possible but I thought I would ask.

When a new form is created, it is assigned an ID and that ID cannot be changed.  It would not be possible to assign a newly created form the old forms ID and since the ID is used to retrieve the form, the URL cannot be updated to the old forms URL.
