I have linked my form to a google sheet file, in the spreadsheet there is an 'edit link' for reurning to the form to edit the information submitted but it would be helpful if there was also a link to the PDF file. Is this possible?

This is currently not available in the form google spreadsheet integration.

But a workaround can be done manually to achieve the option to have PDF link in google spreadsheet.

You can review the solution offered by Charlie on this similar discussion thread

Let us know if you need further assistance.

I have also submitted a feature request ticket base on this so that our dev team can deliberate for the inclusion of the feature to google spreadsheet integration.

OK a follow up to this question then, is it possible to make Google Sheets automatically add that formula to each new line? I have copied and pasted it across numerous blank rows but as soon as a new entry is made via JotForm it adds it below all the rows I had pre-prepared. Any further suggestions?

From how I understood the workaround suggested by my colleague, you won't be applying the formula manually on each line. You just need to ensure that you have all the necessary sections (1st, 2nd and 3rd part) for generating the PDF Link URL.

Once you have those added to your form, re-integrate with Google Sheets and add a column at the end of the newly generated sheet. This will serve as the column for your PDF link. The PDF link can be generated by concatenating the sections (1st, 2nd and 3rd parts) outlined on the thread. Then you will drag the formula to apply it on multiple rows.

I strongly urge you to go back to the thread and review it carefully should you wish to apply that workaround.

I did check and you Have to apply the fix manually each time otherwise it only adds new entries below where the fix has been  applied. However, I have fixed it by using and 'arrayformula' and now the whole thing works like a dream!

Ah, I'm glad you got it working. And thanks for mentioning the arrayformula approach. I'm sure other users may find this useful if they stumble upon this thread. Enjoy your weekend! 😊
