Suggestion: I notice that when we are creating fields there is one thing that confuses people:

Size .... Set number of characters users can enter

Max Size ... Maximum characters allowed for this field

    Maybe it's best:

Field size .... Set the length of the field

Number of characters ... Maximum characters allowed for this field

I request a review of this idea

    Sorry, I meant:

    Maybe it's best:

Field size .... Set the length of the field

Max characters ... Maximum characters allowed for this field

To be honest, I too have noticed this and quite agree that the text on both buttons ought to be changed. I can't recall if this was brought to our development team's attention but I'll submit a ticket to see how best we can get the text to make more sense.

Actually, in the case of both text boxes and drop downs, "Size" is the technically correct term for the button so labeled. However, that button's tooltip is not correct. For text boxes, it should state "Change width" and for drop downs it should be "Set number of items to be simultaneously displayed". Also, while the graphic for the said button is appropriate for drop downs, it is unsuitable for text boxes.

The Max Size button should probably be renamed "Character Limit". However, both its tooltip and graphic are okay.

Anyway, I'll forward the request for the changes to our development team.
